Our Story Starts with Two Civil Law Attorneys

Miller & Williams was formed in the 1980s in St. Louis Park, Minnesota when John A. Miller and Tom Williams joined together to practice law. John mentored Tom as he began to practice law upon graduation from law school. From there, the two civil law attorneys worked to grow their client base by delivering dependable results and ensuring quality care for each individual and organization they served. Together, they built a firm that emphasized compassion alongside competence, bringing their skills together with the power of personalized service.

A Strong Foundation

Tom Williams received a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a B.A. degree from Trinity College, in Deerfield, Illinois, where he majored in history. He worked for a short time for the Minneapolis City Attorney’s Office before entering private practice. Tom is licensed to practice law in the State of Minnesota and in Federal District Court.
John Miller graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School and practiced law for many years in downtown Minneapolis before moving his office to St. Louis Park. He was a Navy pilot in World War II and was a licensed attorney in Minnesota for over fifty years. Unfortunately John is no longer with us, having passed away in 2014 after a full and remarkable life, but his spirit and principals remain a huge part of our firm and what we stand for.
If you need a law practice that puts you first, you’ll find our commitment to compassion alive and well today. Reach out for a free consultation about your legal needs.
